Contoh Kalimat Larangan

Kalimat larangan, atau prohibition, biasanya ditandai dengan kata “no”, “do not”, “may not”, “not allowed”,  “not permitted”, “mustn’t”, “prohibited” atau “forbidden”. Fungsinya sebagai peringatan yang bersifat tegas, sehingga biasanya diakhiri dengan tanda seru. Berikut contoh-contoh prohibition dalam Bahasa Inggris.

Prohibition in the daily activity

1. Don’t sleep too late! You’ll wake up late. (Jangan tidur kemaleman. Ntar bangun telat)
2. Be careful! Don’t play with the scissors! (Hati-hati. Jangan mainan gunting)
3. You mustn’t tell this to your mom! (Jangan kasih tahu ini ke ibumu)
4. Don’t lie to me! (Jangan bohong ke aku)
5. You mustn’t refuse the appointment! (Kamu nggak boleh nolak perjanjian itu)
6. Don’t lock the door, please! (Tolong jangan tutup pintunya)
7. Don’t talk too much! (Jangan ngomong keras-keras)
8. You can’t drink alcohol! (Kamu nggak boleh minum alkohol)
9. Do not add sugar to my coffee, please! (Tolong jangan kasih gula ke kopiku)
10. Don’t bother me! (Jangan ganggu aku)

Prohibition at School

1. Do not sleep in the class! (Jangan tidur di kelas)
2. Do not run in the hallway! (Jangan berlari di koridor)
3. Don’t be noisy in the library! (Jangan berisik di perpustakaan)
4. Do not cheat during the test! (Jangan mencontek selama ujian)
5. Students aren’t allowed to come too late to school! (Siswa tidak boleh datang terlambat ke sekolah)
6. Smoking isn’t permitted in the school area! (Dilarang merokok di area sekolah)
7. Do not leave the class without the teacher’s permission! (Jangan meninggalkan kelas tanpa ijin guru)
8. No smoking outside the school gates! (Dilarang merokok di luar gerbang sekolah)
9. No mobile phone zone! (Zona tanpa HP)
10. Students mustn’t dye their hair! (Siswa dilarang mewarnai rambut)

Prohibition at Work

1. No cameras or video recording equipment! (Kamera dan alat perekam video tidak diperbolehkan)
2. No dogs allowed! (Anjing dilarang masuk)
3. No idling! (Dilarang berleha-leha)
4. No electronic devices allowed beyond this point! (Peralatan elektronik tidak diperbolehkan di luar area ini)
5. Do not leave any leftovers while eating! (Jangan menyisakan makanan)
6. Please do not enter this room! (Harap jangan memasuki ruangan ini)
7. You may not enter without showing your ID! (Dilarang masuk tanpa menunjukkan KTP)
8. Do not switch off the computers! (Jangan matikan komputer)
9. Parking is strictly prohibited between these gates! (Dilarang keras parkir di antara gerbang)
10. Cameras and camera phones prohibited! (Dilarang menggunakan kamera dan kamera HP)

Prohibition in the Public Place

1. Do not text while driving! (Jangan mengetik saat menyetir)
2. Do not climb the tree! (Dilarang memanjat pohon)
3. No littering! (Dilarang membuang sampah sembarangan)
4. Please do not hunt here! (Harap jangan berburu di sini)
5. It is forbidden to swim here! (Dilarang berenang di sini)
6. Drivers mustn’t park their cars here! (Sopir dilarang  memarkir mobil di sini)
7. Visitors may not use flash when taking pictures! (Pengunjung dilarang menyalakan flash saat mengambil gambar)
8. You are not allowed to spit in this area! (Dilarang meludah di daerah ini)
9. Do not go outside during the lockdown! (Jangan keluar selama masa lockdown)
10. Children under 13 may not enter the pool without adult’s supervision! (Anak di bawah 13 tahun tidak boleh berenang tanpa pengawasan orang dewasa)
