Upper Intermediate - CEFR B2
Upper Intermediate English or CEFR B2 is perfect for you if you want to communicate with ease and confidence in most situations. At this level, you will learn to discuss abstract topics, give opinions on complex issues, and understand detailed texts, including technical writing. You’ll also work on writing structured essays, reports, and emails with precision. This level prepares you for advanced academic or workplace communication and gives you the tools to express yourself more naturally.
Level Description
For our Indonesian proficiency leveling, we use Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) as our guideline. At the end of this course, you should be able to:
- understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization.
- interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
- produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
Prerequisite
To take this course, you need to finish our Intermediate English course or have sufficient score on the placement test.
Assessment
To check your progress throughout the course, we will conduct an assessment every 15 hours of lessons. This assessment will determine whether you're ready for the next level, review the current level or even eligible to skip to higher levels if you make rapid progress.
Duration
It takes approximately 60 hours to complete this course. You can start with 30 hours and extend your course accordingly.
