Elementary English - CEFR A2
Elementary English or CEFR A2 is perfect for you if you already have a basic understanding of English and want to improve your skills. You will expand your vocabulary and learn to manage simple, everyday situations more confidently. You’ll practice expressing your needs, talking about familiar topics like family, work, and hobbies, and understanding short written texts like emails and signs. At this level, you will enhance your ability to have straightforward conversations, ask and answer more detailed questions, and use English in practical contexts.
Level Description
This level is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or CEFR for short. At the end of this course, you should be able:
- understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
- communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
- describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
Prerequisite
To take this course, you need to finish our Beginner English course or have sufficient score on the placement test.
Assessment
To check your progress throughout the course, we will conduct an assessment every 15 hours of lessons. This assessment will determine whether you're ready for the next level, review the current level or even eligible to skip to higher levels if you make rapid progress.
Duration
It takes approximately 60 hours to complete this course. You can start with 30 hours and extend your course accordingly.
